Dragobete, the Romanian Valentine’s Day

We know Valentine’s Day has passed, but we aren’t prepared to let go of the romance just yet. Romania celebrates their own Valentine’s on the 24th in the form of Dragobete, a holiday that not only represents a time of love, but also the coming of spring.

With this holiday in mind, we’ve decided to celebrate in a special and Bitelicious way by extending our special weekly menu to include the Monday, the 24th!

Menu for the 21st – 24th of February:

As a starter:

  • Traditional Transylvanian chicken and bacon soup – £6.50

For your main meal you can choose:

  • Traditional Sarmale (cabbage leaves filled with minced pork meat), served with polenta, sour cream and hot peppers – £8.50

  • Chicken Stew (ostropel de pui) served with polenta – £7.50

And because we’d love for you to feel the love on this special day, when you purchase a complete menu for 2, the dessert is on us! You can have a mini heart cake of your choice from a variety of delicious flavors.

Also, you can find more about Romanian cuisine here 🙂 or you can look at the Bitelicious website, where you can find lots of options for Romanian food, as well as our Menu and you can choose any combination of starter and main meal you like.

Meanwhile, don’t forget about our other Romanian specialties: Brasovence, fried chicken leg with polenta and homemade garlic sauce. Also, we added to our menu, polenta with sour cream, cheese and fried egg, as well as Romanian sausages with chips.

In the meantime, if you want to celebrate Dragobete in the comfort of your home, or if you have a special event, please remember that we are here for you and we can do everything you wish for your successful special day! You can ask for any delights for your special days: anniversaries, celebrations, home or office parties or any other event.

We are waiting for you in our cosy coffee shop to spend some special time together 🙂

Just step into our Bitelicious Universe for a special Dragobete ♥️
