Let’s greet Spring with these delicacies

This weekend marks the comeback of some of our most delicious dishes, made with love just for you! We have a variety of flavours prepared for you, especially as this weekend includes the 1st of March, or the Romanian Martisor!

Menu for 28th of February – 1st of March

As a starter:

Potato soup with smoked meat and tarragon (ciorba de cartofi cu afumatura) – £6.50

This soup makes for a savoury, warm meal we’re all in need of as we greet Spring.

For your main meal you can choose:

Cabbage à la Cluj (Varza à la Cluj) – £7.50

This meal is obviously made with cabbage and minced meat. These are the essential ingredients. Some rice, onion, tomato sauce, sweet paprika, black pepper and some aromatic herbs, usually dill and thyme are also added. It comes served with sour cream.

Oven baked chicken drumsticks with vegetables (ciocanele de pui la tava cu legume)£7.50

A delicious and healthy combo made with love and care.

Because 1st of March is the first day of spring and it is a day full of celebrations – Romanian Martisor, St. David’s Day and Daffodil Day – we’ll have a lot of nice surprises for you. Meanwhile, don’t forget about our other Romanian specialties: Brasovence, fried chicken leg with polenta and homemade garlic sauce. Also, we added to our menu, polenta with sour cream, cheese and fried egg, as well as Romanian sausages with chips.

We have a large variety of cakes and the unbeatable banana bread. Also, you can choose from our large range of pancakes. Please remember that we also have fresh papanasi (cheese donuts) if you desire 🙂

We’ll have all of Romania’s favourite desserts: amandine, savarine and Diplomat cake and of course our consecrated biscuit salami (salam de biscuiti).

Don’t forget about our new entry dessert, Chocolate-covered strawberries with ice cream and whipped cream 🙂
